MISTER O. DOES NOT PAY HIS BILLS !

 Americans, beware !

You should not trust your president when he promises you, in his weekly radio address just broadcast, that the effect of the tax cuts contained in the stimulus bill will be felt as early as April.

Apparently, your new president is not reliable when it comes to bills and figures...

Ask the city of Chicago !
The city of Chicago  is still waiting to be reimbursed for Obama's $1.74 million victory celebration in Grant Park in November.

Spokesman Peter Scales of the city's office of Budget and Management said the Democratic National Committee was contracted about the unpaid bill this week, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Friday.

"We are looking at various costs and bills," said DNC spokeswoman Stacie Paxton in explaining the reimbursement delay.

The Sun-Times disclosed in December that the total tab for the DNC-sponsored event was $1.74 million. For instance, the city spent one million dollars on police protection for the rally.

So Obama is not paying his campaign debts, but it does not surprise me, because I wonder if he has any money left, seeing the thousands of dollars he wasted during the transition period, first paying for his milliardaire holiday in Hawaii, and then for his prestigious hotel in Washington D.C before moving into the WHite House.




Now I suppose Chicago residents must really feel furious, as their Mayor, Mister  Richard Daley had assured them in October that the cash-flush Obama campaign would reimburse the city for every penny it spent for security and other services for the rally.

"This is not a presidential visit ... This is a political event, and they've agreed to pay for all those services," the mayor said. "There's no (shortage) of money in that campaign."

Many in the city say they provided the service, and deserve a rapid response.
But frankly, I am not very optimistic. I am not sure they will be reimbursed one day...



Obama may be the hero of American people, he may be more popular than Jesus Christ (as a Harris poll has just revealed !), but the reality is that he is only human...

And, unfortunately for them, the people in Chicago will be the first to realize that  not only does he not keep his promises, but he does not pay his bills !
