Obama in France Special coverage (2)

THEY are here !

The mythical couple has just arrived !

I have just been the witness of an unforgettable moment.
Sorry, but I have not recovered yet.
Such an intense emotion...

What I have just seen will be impossible to forget.

The four of them, in Strasbourg, so young, so good-looking, so smart : Barack, Michelle, Nicolas and Carla.

I am still so upset...

Nicolas can't help touching and kissing the Queen's friend whereas Barack only contents himself with shaking Carla's hand.

What struck me was the difference in their behaviours... the little man and the great man.

One was overexcited, like a kid who would have been offered (at last !) the toy he had been longing for for months...

The other one was composed, rather distant, as if he were already blasé... When the little man was touching him, he seemed a little ill-at-ease, annoyed...

And the two wives looked so perfect, so beautiful, so well-dressed (?).
One was visibly viewing herself as a new Jackie Kennedy (not the American one, but the French one, strangely).
The other one, with her own style, quite particular, wearing an hideous black and fushia coat.

What a moment...
The two national anthems were played.
The two couples seemed so concentrated and moved.
The American couple, with their hands on their hearts, as they were listening to their anthem, whereas they have so often been accused of lacking patriotism.

Then, it was time to take the official photo, with the two couples side by side, each one holding hands.

Look at Sarkozy... grinning, as usual...

Then, they went into the Palais Rohan, in order to talk about very important things, but also to... have lunch, of course !

Meanwhile, we... are waiting for them to go out in a few hours...
We, the "little people", what else could we ask for ?
These wonderful pictures have already filled us with joy !
